Working with the Selby Community Development Corporation (SCDC), the Assembly of Architects participated in a forum aimed to establish the community's vision for Selby Avenue in Saint Paul . AOA facilitated a discussion with residents and other interested parties and provided assistance with sketching visual renderings for public infrastructure, design, and beautification improvements along the commercial corridor. Through these on-going efforts, AOA has experienced a very visible and significant relationship with community leaders, and has also led to more purposeful planning and design discussions with community stakeholders. The Assembly of Architect also partnered with Public Art Saint Paul to assist with the facilitation of a visioning charette for Western Avenue in Saint Paul . Similar to the Selby Avenue project, the goal was to bring community leaders and stakeholders together, and provide a forum to foster awareness of what some viewed as a "forgotten" area.
